what we'll tell our grandchildren

I love romantic stories.

I love ones that involve me even more.

This is the most romantic one of all....

It all evolved over my vacation in various wonderful, nauseating, stomach-turning ways. In Burbank I got a voicemail that he left where he played the song he wrote for me (because my boy be talented. *swoon*) and my response went something like this (after listening to it about 5 times) :

Me: Oh, baby, that was-

*bee lands on ass while I'm sunning myself at the pool*

Bee: STING. *stings*

Me: SON OF A BITCH!

Drew: What?

Me: A bee stung my bottom and now my bottom's big!

/Simpsons

I wish I was kidding about how that went, but right in the middle of my trying to tell him how amazing he was and how incredible he made me feel, a bee literally landed on the sunny side up of my butt and stung me on the right cheek.

And no, Amy, I don't think it's a sign.

A few minutes later I was laying back on the chaise with an ice-pack sliding down my posterior, and had resumed my attempts at barfing my feelings (that's literally what it's like for me - ask any of my exes).

*sigh* Oh, young love...

I like learning new words

California is exactly what I wanted it to be. I am sitting on Ashley/ Faith's couch, checking myspace, reading, studying my Bible outside until the sound of the birds drifts from "chipper" to "annoying" and in a second I'm'a gonna go sit by the pool outside with my iPod.

Last night we went shopping and I bought myself two handcuff bracelets.

From the second I saw them I knew they were totally ridiculous but I also knew I was going to buy them anyway. Furthermore, I was going to purchase two.

On the way home Ashley called herself a tool and I corrected her with the new word I'd learned from Drew, "chotch". She liked it for the same reason I did - the second you hear it you think of "crotch" and for those of us who have minds like 12 year olds, that's hilarious.

I have taken more pictures of food so far than anything else.

Alright, I'm going to put on a swimsuit and snore by the pool.

God is good

This weekend, while not over, has already been extraordinary.

12 hours left of the fast.

3 new friends made.

1 new movie seen.

Bazillion tears cried and even more prayers prayed.

~~~~~
I wonder if you still read this even though I've moved. Perhaps you've seen the transition as a chance to break the ties?
I'll take the chance to say that even though I've decided to press forward and try my best to live my life, some things will always remain; they won't change.
I will always be standing here, waiting, behind the door you keep stubbornly closing. I'll keep waiting for the opportunity to show you that love can be unconditional and ever-lasting; I'll keep waiting for you to stop running.
No matter what you need in life, you can count on two people even if you don't want to believe in either of them: God and me.
'Shutter' was better than I expected. A couple scenes were done even better than the original had managed, including the awesome one with the flash. Still, I wish they would stop wasting money on CGI effects and gross-outs and put that towards better acting and atmosphere-building. See: Kairo, Phone, A Tale of Two Sisters.
Suspense is waaaaaaaaay scarier than a computer-generated back that had an acid bath.
6 days until my vacation and I swear, it's changed 97 times. Now I'm flying out Friday instead of driving and no, I have no idea when.
I can't wait until I can see the ocean.
